Wedding-day glow is not something you buy the week of the wedding. It is the result of a personalized skincare plan started roughly a year out, supported by regular facials, consistant skincare, and regular lash & brow maintenance that get refined over time instead of rushed.
At Victoria Roggio Beauty, we believe effortless wedding-day skin starts long before the makeup chair. Thoughtful skin prep is the foundation for a flawless makeup application, helping makeup sit beautifully on the skin and photograph seamlessly.
Below are the bridal products and recommended timeline we walk our clients through at Victoria Roggio Beauty, from the newly engaged all the way to the morning of. Use it as a framework and adjust it to your skin, your budget, and how long your engagement actually is.

Why Starting Early Matters
Skin works on its own schedule. The outer layer of the epidermis turns over roughly every 28 to 40 days depending on your age, which means a single facial can only do so much before the next cycle begins. Concerns like post-acne marks, texture, and dullness typically need three to six cycles of consistent care.
There is also a practical reason to move early: the best bridal artists, estheticians, and nail techs in a given market book out 9 to 12 months in advance for peak weekends during wedding season.
12 Months Before: Consultation and Bookings
The first appointment should be a conversation, not a treatment. A thorough skin consultation looks at your history, current products, medications, hormonal patterns, and how you want your skin to look on camera under flash photography.
At this stage you are doing these few things:
-
Building a personalized skincare plan that sequences actives in the right order, with a realistic idea of what can be corrected in twelve months.
-
Securing your bridal makeup team for the date, especially if you have a large party and identifying anything that needs medical referral, such as persistent cystic acne, melasma, or rosacea that would benefit from a dermatologist alongside your esthetician.
One quiet advantage of booking a year out: you can test products slowly. If something irritates you in month two, you have ten months to pivot without panic.
9 to 6 Months Before: Build the Foundation
Monthly facials in this window are corrective rather than cosmetic, focused on clearing congestion, improving barrier function, and gradually increasing exfoliation tolerance.
A typical rhythm looks like:
-
Facials every four to six weeks, matched to your skin cycle rather than your calendar
-
A customized at-home routine you can stay consistent with usually four to six products rather than twelve
-
Regular Swedish massage every four to eight weeks, which helps with the sleep and cortisol side of skin health more than most brides expect
-
Body care if your dress is strapless or backless, since back and chest congestion takes just as long to clear as the face
Advanced Skincare Treatments belong sooner, rather than later. Chemical peels, microneedling, and NOUVAderm Lasers need some recovery time and a buffer of several months before the wedding so any redness or flaking has fully resolved.
6 to 3 Months Before: Trials and Refinement
Schedule your makeup trial and nail trial in this window, ideally close to an event where you can wear the look for a full day and see how it holds.
Bring a few inspiration photos to your trial so your artist can get a clear sense of what you’re drawn to.
Two things become non-negotiable during these months: Regular brow and lash maintenance on a four to six week cycle. Brow shape frames every photo, and growing out a shape you want takes eight to twelve weeks, so this is the moment to commit to a plan rather than tweezing on impulse.
Keep facials on schedule through this period. Consistency is what keeps results from sliding backward, and three months is long enough for skin to lose ground if you stop.
1 Month Before: Finalize, Do Not Experiment
The last four weeks are for maintenance and logistics. This is when you finalize your facial plan, reserve wedding-week nail appointments, and book your last glow-boosting treatment, usually a hydrating or light resurfacing facial no closer than two to three weeks out.
Things to avoid entirely in the final month:
-
New actives, new brands, or a first-time treatment of any kind
-
Extractions closer than ten days to the wedding
-
Any injectable or peel you have not had before
Vogue's bridal skin editors make a similar point in their wedding skin prep guide: the final stretch should reinforce what already works.
Wedding Week: Timing the Glow
The week of the wedding is about hydration and calmness. A bridal facial three to five days before gives skin time to settle while still delivering that plumped, reflective finish that makeup sits beautifully on.
A workable wedding-week order:
-
Five to seven days out: final brow shaping and lash appointment
-
Three to five days out: bridal facial, gentle and hydration-focused
-
Two to three days out: Swedish massage
-
One to two days out: manicure and pedicure
-
Night before: your normal routine and as much sleep as you can manage
On the morning of, skin should arrive clean and bare. Eat something, drink water, and give yourself more time than the schedule says.
If You Have Six Months or Less
Short engagements are common and entirely workable. Compress the plan rather than skipping stages: book your consultation immediately, run facials every three to four weeks, start brow and lash work in the first month, and keep treatments conservative so nothing needs recovery time you do not have.
