Covid-19 Guidelines

COVID-19 Policy

Updated: December 28, 2021

VRB currently requires that clients show proof of COVID-vaccination to schedule an appointment with us in our spa. If you are not vaccinated, we require proof of a negative COVID test result within 48 hours of your appointment. This is in an effort to keep our team, and you, our clients, healthy and safe. This policy will be upheld until January 31st, 2022, at which time we will reassess to make adjustments as necessary reflective of guidelines of the City of Philadelphia Health Department and the CDC.

In-House Protocol

  • All staff are double masking while conducting services
  • FDA-approved air purifiers are installed in all treatment rooms and our lobby
  • 15 minutes are allocated between each appointment to disinfect tools and devices, according to best practices set by the Pennsylvania Board of Cosmetology
  • Windows are kept ajar in our main lobby for extra air flow

At VRB, part of celebrating the beauty of our clients is preserving every aspect of our well-being! Thus, the policy outlined below has been created with the interest of our clients health and safety, as well as that of our team members. These practices are in accordance with health and safety best practices presented by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology. We will be implementing these practices until further notice, unless otherwise stated from the aforementioned governance bodies. We reserve the right to refuse service to any client that does not abide by this policy.

1. Transparency & Communication

We ask that all clients be transparent in communicating any COVID19 or other flu-like symptoms experienced up to a week prior to their scheduled makeup service. If you are unsure of whether or not you are experiencing COVID19 symptoms, please see the CDC guidelines. Our team will practice this level of transparency back to our clients.

If either client or VRB team member has experienced flu-like symptoms in the week leading up to the scheduled makeup session, we reserve the right to reschedule until two weeks after either party has ceased to display these symptoms, at no additional fee.

2. Social Distancing Measures

We will be practicing social distance measures as recommended by the CDC and Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology at each scheduled makeup and hair service. This requires that for on-site services, a separate space be designated for makeup and hair services. We ask that the only people occupying that space are the makeup artist and the client receiving the makeup services at their designated time slot, unless an alternative arrangement has been discussed and approved.

3. Sanitation & Hygiene

Both the artist and the person receiving makeup services are required to thoroughly wash their hands at the beginning of the service.

Clients are required to wear a face mask in the service space until their scheduled service begins. Our artists will also be wearing either a face mask or face shield throughout the service.

In the case of a multi-client service (i.e. a Bridal party) there must be at least 10 minutes allotted between each service time slot to clean and sanitize all makeup and hair implements before servicing the next person.

Eating and drinking will not be permitted in the service space.

Clients must provide their own lip color, or the lip color may be purchased in our store. This will also be important for touch ups throughout the day of their event.
